Automations

Set up rules that trigger actions automatically when things happen in your business.

How Automations Work

An automation has three parts:

  1. Trigger — What event starts it (e.g., "client created," "invoice sent," "task completed")
  2. Conditions — Optional filters (e.g., "only for enterprise tier clients")
  3. Actions — What happens automatically (e.g., "create a task," "send a notification," "fire a webhook")

Using Chat

Create an automation: when a new client is added, create a welcome task and send a notification
Create a rule: when an invoice becomes overdue, create a follow-up task with high priority
List my automation rules
Pause the welcome email automation
Preview what would happen if I trigger a 'client_created' event

Each rule shows its trigger event, action count, and active/inactive status. Click on any rule to see its detail page with conditions and actions.

Note: Automation rules are created through chat, since the AI handles the event/condition/action configuration. The dashboard lets you view and monitor rules.

The dashboard also shows expandable sections for Supported Events (like client_created, invoice_sent, task_completed) and Supported Actions (like create_task, send_notification, fire_webhook).

Approvals

Require human approval for sensitive actions.

Using Chat

Request approval to send the $10,000 invoice to Acme Corp
Show me pending approvals
Approve the invoice for Acme Corp
Reject the contract change — needs legal review first
